Hi there. This blog is a documentation of an amateur's attempts at (home)cooking with less than basic knowledge (in my personal opinion) of the culinary. Here you won't see recipes, rather the progress and the results of someone learning to cook in their own pace.

Cookie Time!
Okay! My second attempt at baking those delicious chocolate chip cookies! This time I made sure I followed the recipe properly, use the proper pan, and don't rush things. The cookies turned out great! They were soft and chewy just the way I liked them and decent sizes. However I couldn't figure out how to make them thicker, because my cookies tend to end up pretty thin. If I rolled them into bigger dough they just end up spreading out and melting together, but if I rolled smaller dough they end up burnt. Also I need to figure out to make them so they don't get the little burnt edges. I want to be able to bake perfect cookies like the at the bakery!
So the third time, I still got some ingredients left, and I also got a friend for a visit. So I thought, since I had such a success last time, I would make some more this time, also some treats for my friend. But I got cocky, haha, I thought I could remember the recipe pretty well (and it's true, chocolate chip cookies is like a noob recipe for all you experienced...), and since it was late at night too... I rushed things a little, and I got burnt cookies!!!!!! They still tasted good though, and some got burnt, and I was disappointed in myself. Never rush! Especially when it comes to baking!!!
